The specimen slips out of the clamp.

If clamps worked previously but not now, the teeth in the clamp may be worn or dirty. Inspect the part of the clamp that touches the specimen. You will notice teeth or groves that help grip the specimen. Clean if noticeable build up is noted. If this does not help please contact Com-Ten Industries for replacement jaws or clamp repair service. A new specimen type may require different clamp properties. If the specimen is new please contact Com-Ten Industries for advise.
